One of my 2013 resolutions is to blog more...see how well that is going? It seems like my days just fly by! I'll see if I can work on this more...

January 3 - Girl Scout Cookie Rally - mmmm! Cookies!

January 5 - Scrapday at WE church. I was able to complete three layouts, because....I'm a slow scrapper.

Kaila - using a Scrap Orchard sketch

Nick - using a Pagemaps sketch

Nick - using a Pagedrafts sketch

Blake - using a Nuts About Sketches sketch, layout done in 2012.

January 18 - My 39th birthday. Do I feel 39??? Me, no...my joints...ummm...YES! I was pleasantly surprised to receive an invitation for breakfast from my dear friend, Julie Librizzi. I'm always up to go OUT for breakfast :)  We ended up chatting for 4 hours...4!!! That's my kind of start to the day. Let's be honest...no one wants to have to cook or do work on their birthday. I was able to go out to breakfast, not do any work at all and two of my children spent the night at friends' houses. Nick was doing his pep band thing at a basketball game. Charlie didn't get home until around 8:00, but brought me some Coney Island food. We had opted out of the 1 1/2 hour wait at Red Lobster and saved that excersion for another day. I was happily in bed by 9:30 (I get up for the day by 4:00 a.m.). It was a delightful day.

January 20 - Charlie, Blake, Kaila and I took time out of our busy schedules to go bowling. We had a good time. To top is off, we had a coupon! Boo-yah!

I have to show you the video of Blake "sneaking" up on the pins. He cracks me up!

January 22 - softball sign-ups!!! Yeah! Kaila is probably a little more excited than me, but I'm happy she actually wants to play. I signed up to be an assistant coach, because as well all know...I have control issues and I want to make sure that the girls are treated correctly and fairly.

January 22 - Kaila's first time at gymnastics with Gracie and Carlee. She's been wanting to go forever. She had a blast!

January 24 - I've been threatening for ages to dump ice water on Nick as he spends 25-30 minutes SLEEPING in the tub each morning. Well, it just so happens that I had ice water that I had used to cool down Charlie's boiled eggs for egg salad at 5:00 a.m. It was getting late and since I already had the ice water ready....  Insert screaming here! This is what happens when child is sleeping and suddenly gets awakened/startled/shocked by ice water...he kicks the faucet with his foot.

He may still sleep in the shower...but not quite as soundly.

That catches you all up on what's been going on here.

Thanks for stopping by!

Shawn
