Once again I am extremely behind with posting to this blog. I am not quite sure where November went. Nick shot this big boy on November 2nd...first day of Elk in Colorado for the season they went for. He had some altitude sickness, so he is exhausted and feeling ill in these photos.

The return of the mighty hunters is always nice.

What's this delightful photo, you ask? Well, I took a tumble on my lovely porch. I tripped on the step and started running/stumbling. In order to prevent major injury to my knees, I tucked my right shoulder and rolled in glorious fashion. My right arm and my foot sustained minor injuries and left me with wishing I would have had a head cam.

Trapping season - muskrats...gross.

Thanksgiving Day 2013

Look!!! First day of buck season and Nick was able to get this 4 point half rack. It is delicious!

This year we had not one, but two extra kids with us. Megan and Katie were able to join us for our fun-filled day of Kraynak's, a little bit of shopping, eating at Arby's and viewing the Free Birds movie.

Blake purchased this plant, because he loves plants and taking care of them.

I finally joined the ever-growing PROJECT LIFE bandwagon. It is proving very therapeutic, if you will. I find that I look at my rarely used supplies in a whole new way. And what goes along with participating in PL? Taking many more photos on a daily basis to help fill these weeks out. The first three weeks of 2013 I didn't take very many photos, which makes it difficult to do more than a two page spread. Lesson learned for 2014. Don't worry, you didn't really miss anything...  Week 5 is the first week that is completely finished for 2013. I have Weeks 1, 2, and 3 almost done for your viewing pleasure.

Week 5

Week 5 - Insert

I used an insert between the two page spread, because I had too many photos I wanted to share.

Week 7

Week 8

Week 9

Week 11

Thanks so much for joining me and I hope to have an update soon with further Project Life spreads, as well as photos...

October has come to a close with lots of things going on.

We finish the month out with the end of soccer, pumpkin carving, Halloween and then the start of elk hunting in Colorado.

Kaila played her last game on the 26th, first against her other team mates and then against the parents. After the game we had a little pizza party. It was a great time.

We were all busy getting Charlie and Nick ready to leave for Colorado to elk hunt. They left on the 30th of October. After they left, the kids and I decided to carve pumpkins.

Next we have the wonderful day of Halloween, which turned out to be slightly chilly and rainy. That made it difficult to get decent photos. This is also the first year that I didn't take the kids trick or treating myself. They both decided they wanted to go with friends. I feel a sense of loss, but hey...it is what it is. At least they're still dressing up at the ripe old ages of 10 and 11 1/2.

Blake was a hobo and Kaila was a spider fairy.

At about 7:30 (Colorado time) on November 2, 2013 Nick shot his first bull elk. We are so very happy. They're actually coming home early due to Nick's altitude sickness, as well as some bad weather heading in.

I participated and continue to participate in a Pinsperational Crop at My Scraps & More. I have done three challenges so far.

I used a sketch from Scrap Around the World for this one.

I used a sketch by Audrey Yeager for this one.

I used a sketch from La Malle a Scrap for this one.

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you have a great day!

We had a fairly busy weekend...soccer, scrapping, church and a corn maze!

This was Kaila's last OFFICIAL game. We still have a scrimmage on Saturday. She finally got to play offense and was pretty aggressive.

A couple cards I made from scraps.
