Valentine's Day!!!
Blake and Kaila were instructed to provide a box for their valentines. Blake's class was awarding prizes for various catagories. He wanted to try for "Most Unique." He found his little turtles and designed his box to look like an island. He didn't win, but he had a good time creating his box.
Kaila's class didn't award prizes, but she had fun designing her box too.
Here are the magnets that I designed and the kids made for their party.
See all this yummy food that the kids had? Most of it was healthy as per the school's interference with the children's childhood. How the school/state thinks that they can dictate what the kids eat for one meal a day 5x a week and 4 parties a year that will actually make a difference in their well-being is beyond me. Nutrition starts at home. I don't care what anyone says. If your child is overweight - it is up to YOU...the PARENTS to teach them correctly and be consistent. Because ultimately the parent is who pays for the food that the child eats. If you purchase crap...what do you think your child will be eating? It isn't brain surgery. I say let them be kids for Pete's sake! AND leave the parenting up to...oh-I-don't-know...the parents!
Here are a couple layouts that I made last weekend at our scrapday :) I always enjoy my much needed time with the girls.
Thanks for stopping by!
