There's always a lot going on here, which makes life interesting. However, sometimes I long for the days that were slightly more leisurely ;)

Blake and I had a glorious day on Saturday the 16th. It was basically a Mommy and Me day. We started the day with breakfast and a little bit of work, but not much. We then proceeded to an Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Wayside Emmanuel church. They have face painting, story, craft, games, snack and the actual hunt. There was such a large group of kids that I helped hide the eggs in the sanctuary, so I missed a couple photo-ops. Blake had a blast and referred to himself as "The Bandit that Robbed the Bank!" I have no idea where he got that from.

After the egg hunt, Blake and I decided to go to King's for a delicious early supper. Blake had his usual chicken fingers/fries/pepsi and I had my usual southern style breakfast with a side order of home fries and wheat toast, along with coffee. It was delicious! I decided we would go, because I was starting an actual diet on Monday.

Well, since we were by ourselves we decided to go to the movies. Blake was excited to see Oz the Great and Powerful in 3D. We hadn't been to the movies for quite some time, so it was a treat for us. It was a fantastic movie and we loved watching it in 3D.

When we arrived home after our fantastic day, Blake thanked me for everything...individually. I think he likes our one-on-one time. I know I do!

I woke up to an awesome sketch posted at My Scraps and More. I struggle with certain people's sketches, but not Audrey Yeager's! This was perfect for my project.

I joined in on the Birthday Kit swap this time around. I received the following kit from Tabitha, which included 6 x 6 papers:

Here is Sketch #16 by Audrey Yeager - the extra twist is to use numbers, but not in your title or journaling.

Here's what I came up with using mist, which Tabitha requested when she sent my kit. The only things I used that weren't in the kit, was the blue alpha, mist and the white background cardstock.

I have a couple more sketches and layouts created for the awesome Sketch-a-Thon over at My Scraps & More. I have completed 11/15 challenges so far.

Here's a card sketch by Bev Code. The twist was to use twine.

Here's a sketch by Wendi Robinson. The twist was to use a birthday cake on it or in the photo.

Look how cute Blake is blowing out his candles at the age of 5.

Edited to add another sketch....

It was another great sketch to work with over at My Scraps & More yesterday.

This is sketch #5 created by Wendi Robinson. The twist on this was to only use 2 photos...no more or less.

Here is what I created using Basicgrey's Lime Rickey. This is Kaila and Amber way back in 2007 on Thanksgiving day. They brought their basic necessities. I find that really cute for a 4 and almost 5 year old.

This is Sketch #6 over at My Scraps & More created by Missy Whidden.

I used papers by Shabby Princess...shocking, I know. These photos are from 2007. It's hard to believe and see how much he's grown since then.

We're having a great time over at My Scraps and More, if you'd like to join us. We're having a month of sketches ;)  Tell them I sent you!

This is sketch #2 by Tracy Rhodes. The twist on this sketch was to have two sets of two somewhere on the page and I chose the hearts. I have to mention that the papers I used are fairly old. IThey are the Basicgrey Urban Couture.

This is sketch #4 by Lisa Moen. The twist on this was to have two tickets. I flipped the sketch because of the way Kaila is facing.

I have to share some photos from Kaila's cheer clinic last weekend. The girls did such a nice job and had a great time.
